What If...
What if your clients received more than just a PDF?
What if they opened their doorstep to find a beautifully curated box of design samples, custom printed materials, and a handwritten note that made them feel like they were your only client?
That’s what the Atelier Box™: Designer Edition does.
For clients, it’s an elevated experience they didn’t even know was missing.
For designers, it’s a profitable, personalized service that allows you to finally position your design services as luxury, not a bargain-bin offering.

Why I Created The Atelier Box™
I began my design career over 10 years ago in full-service design and have been practicing virtual design long before it was the industry norm. I loved the freedom that I had through my virtual design services so much that my business shifted almost entirely to remote design — but I noticed the same problem everywhere:
Virtual design was treated as a cheap add-on, with packages sold for the low hundreds. While great for upselling, few designers saw it as sustainable or profitable. For full-service projects, designers are always looking for ways to elevate the experience with a more personalized touch.
I knew something was missing. Clients crave the tactile, emotional connection of design — touching fabrics, holding materials, flipping through a book of drawings. Designers want to deliver luxury design virtually and in-person, but the tools didn’t exist and they are tired of lugging around a cart full of samples, fumbling through them during client presentations.
So I created The Atelier Box™:
A tactile design experience that includes curated samples, a custom-printed design book, and courier delivery. Perfect for mid-project touchpoints and post-project wrap-ups whether full-service or virtual. It elevates the design into something truly luxurious while also offering the flexibility to curate virtual and in-person client interactions. The result was more profitable projects, freedom to design the way I wanted, and flexibility in my schedule to do things I love like volunteering and traveling; now into what I call: Luxury Remote Design. Design anywhere, anytime.

-
It transforms virtual design into a high-touch service you can confidently price as luxury.
-

FAQ'S
How does the Atelier Box™: Designer Edition work?
Designed by your studio, packaged by ours. Continue your design projects as usual. When you’re ready to present your material selections to your clients, simply contact us to begin the intake process.
We’ll ask for your approved deliverables and any special notes you’d like to communicate to your client, such as floor plans, elevations, mood boards, renderings, and a list of samples you’d like included in your Atelier Box™. You’re welcome to send Material Bank samples and your client presentation in PDF format as well. From there, we compile, format, and assemble the Atelier Box™ into a seamless, white-glove presentation for your client.
Important note: Designer Edition is packaging + production. You remain the designer-of-record and can see a print preview before it's printed and delivered to you or the client. We do not verify measurements, specifications, code compliance, or design accuracy.
What deliverables do I need to provide?
To keep turnaround smooth and scope clear, we typically request:
-
Your client presentation (PDF) or individual files (mood boards, renderings, etc.)
-
Drawings (PDF): floor plan and elevations (if applicable)
-
Renderings (JPG/PNG at print-quality resolution of at least 600px, if included)
-
Spec list / sourcing list (PDF or spreadsheet export)
-
Any messaging you want included (notes, room narrative, install guidance)
-
Client shipping details (name, address, phone/email)
-
Your branding assets (logo + preferred brand name presentation)
If you need help creating drawings, renderings, or presentation materials, you may hire us separately through White-Label Design support services.
What’s included in the box?
Each Atelier Box™: Designer Edition is tailored to your client’s project and may include:
-
Fabric and upholstery swatches
-
Wallpaper and paint samples
-
Hardware and finish samples (metal, wood, stone, tile, etc.; small format or high-resolution image printed and mounted for large format tiles)
-
Curated drapery or textile selections
-
Printed design book (Mood Book, Softcover, or Hardcover) featuring your project drawings, renderings, and design notes
-
Handwritten note (client-facing)
Because the box has limited dimensions, we recommend including the most important samples needed to finalize decisions, or only the final approved selections for clients receiving a Project Closeout Atelier Box™.
Recommended maximum sample size: 8" x 8" (when possible).
Do you create the design, drawings, or renderings?
Atelier Box™: Designer Edition assumes your studio provides the design deliverables. The Designer-of-record provides final selections and approvals; our studio compiles and produces the presentation. We do not create the concept, drawings, or renderings inside Atelier Box™: Designer Edition. We create the storytelling materials within the book plus additional copy like our care & maintenance guide.
If you want support creating construction documents, renderings, sourcing options, or presentation content, that is available separately through White-Label Design Support.
Can you source the samples for me?
Yes—designers may choose one of the following:
-
Designer-supplied samples: You mail the samples to us (fastest and most controlled).
-
Studio-sourced samples: We can request and curate samples through trusted industry partners (e.g., Material Bank and select showrooms) when available.
-
Hybrid: You send custom/trade items; we source the rest.
Sample sourcing is available at the current market rate, depending on scope, availability, and lead times. Some custom and trade-only samples may require designer coordination.
Can I build the cost in my projects?
Yes. Designers may choose to include the Atelier Box™ as a line item in their proposal or project invoice.
This not only covers the cost but elevates the perceived value of your virtual or hybrid design services. Instead of clients questioning the worth of a PDF, they receive a tangible, luxury product that feels like a keepsake.

Is there a limit to how many rooms/spaces can be included?

Typical included scope:
-
Mood Book: up to 2 spaces
-
Softcover: up to 3 spaces
-
Hardcover: up to 5 spaces
For larger projects (whole-home, multiple wings, extensive finish packages), we may recommend:
-
an overage fee, or
-
multiple boxes for the same project (often the cleanest presentation)
-
custom large-format box
Overages, multi-box packages, or large format boxes are available at the current market rate and confirmed after intake.
How many samples can fit in the box?
Each Atelier Box™ includes a protective cushion layer to preserve the integrity of your samples. Capacity depends on the thickness and mix of materials (fabric vs tile vs hardware).
As a general guideline for a standard box:
-
Typical curated box: ~15–35 samples (a mix of fabrics, finish chips, wallpaper, tile, small hardware samples)
-
Thicker materials (stone/tile) reduce total capacity
-
Paint chips/wallpaper memos vary widely; we recommend prioritizing “decision-driving” options
Typical layout for a standard size box: Bottom Row: (10) 6x6 fabric samples (upholstery & window treatments), (4) 6x6 carpet/rug samples, (3) 6" hardware/frame trim samples, (4) 4x8 tile/flooring samples @ 0.5" thick. Top Row: Up to 100 8.5x11 paint samples, up too 100 6x11 wallpaper samples. If your project includes a large variety of finishes across many rooms, multiple boxes may be recommended for a clean, elevated presentation.
What happens if my client wants to see more samples?
The Atelier Box™ is curated to include the most essential samples your client needs to finalize selections.
If your client requests additional options beyond what was provided, an additional Atelier Box™ may be ordered. Repeat boxes for the same project may be eligible for a preferred rate at the current market rate.
How long does it take to receive the box?
Turnaround depends on how quickly we receive your project materials and samples.
Timing begins once we have:
-
your final files,
-
your samples (or approval to source), and
-
your approval to print.
Typically, once all materials are received and approved, your client’s Atelier Box™ can be completed and shipped within 7–10 business days. Rush options may be available at the current market rate, depending on current production volume.

Each box is custom curated, and investment will follow the selected format at the current market rate. Preferred rates may be available for repeat boxes within the same project.
Can the box be customized to align with my firm’s branding?
Yes, within select options. At this time, you may choose:
