Dallas Boho-Minimalist Rocker Pad

Charm, Minimalism, and Rockstars: Combining personality and style in this Boho-Minimalist home makeover reveal.

University park rustic glam home makeover reveal. Combining rustic charm with glamorous appeal.

New homes often lack the welcoming coziness required for comfort after a long day of work. But there’s nothing more exciting than a blank slate and a vision!

A recent client of mine wanted to show his hippie, minimalist lifestyle, and his love for rock music while still looking sophisticated.

Here’s a look at the finished main living area and dining room, carefully designed for both entertainment and relaxation.

Gold ceiling. Navy blue walls. Blue velvet drapes, curtains. Giclee art. Brass warm gold drapery rod. White beams. Tufted sleeper sofa.

The rock band posters give the space a cool, retro vibe, while the pet-friendly custom sofa, rug and vintage pillows make it cozy and comfortable. The mix of wood and wicker gives the room a rustic charm for a trendy, eclectic look.

The before photos truly give a taste of what was before we swooped in to save the day. We incorporated bold pops of color and custom-framed posters to highlight the wood beams, Eames-inspired bar stools, black kitchen cabinets and geometric tiles. Now, this space boasts sleek lines with modern edge and a touch of earthy charm.

The black walls and white drapery paired with custom-framed posters, will juxtapose against the weathered textures of black leather, fluted and reclaimed wood, rich cognac velvet bedding and orange-teal pillows for a look that is both cozy and chic.

The expansive vaulted ceilings framed in wood beams gives the perfect escape from the mundane vanilla life. The soft white drapery hung by rich brass hardware frame the tiled black side tables and luxurious, yet understated bedding.

Pottery Barn Extended Dining Table. Linen Drapes Curtains. Black curtain rods.Modern. Contemporary. Blue Rug. White Dining Room. Rustic Glam.

Who said eclectic living can’t have its place in a modern abode? Showcased by nature, musical memorabilia, and bluesy hues, this home design represents a modern take on a hippie style with masculine appeal.

My client was so thrilled with the outcome and how his home speaks to his holistic lifestyle! Comment below on what your favorite element is in this home makeover.
